MANCHESTER AIRPORT ARE NOW IMPLEMENTING AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGY WHERE VEHICLE REGISTRATION INFORMTION WILL BE COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY. THIS WILL MEAN THAT AIRPORT ACCESS FEES WILL BE PAYABLE ONLINE RATHER THAN AT THE BARRIER UPON EXIT.
IN LIGHT OF THIS SITUATION, WE'VE DECIDED TO MANAGE THE PAYMENT FOR BOTH THE DEPARTURE AND RETURN CHARGES FOR OUR CUSTOMERS, THIS IS NOW INCORPORATED IN THE COST OF THE PARKING.
IN LIGHT OF THIS SYSTEM CHANGE, IT IS IMPERITIVE THAT CORRECT VEHICLE DETAILS, REGISTRATION NUMBER, DEPARTURE AND RETURN TERMINAL IS GIVEN AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. FAILURE TO DO THIS COULD LEAD TO A PENALTY CHARGE NOTICE OF £60+ WHICH WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO COVER.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANY BOOKINGS MADE WITHIN 24 HOURS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED SO PLEASE MAKE SURE BOOKINGS ARE SENT AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE DAY OF TRAVEL
Please be aware that due to airport improvements there are numerous road closures at the airport and the surrounding areas which will be the case until at least 2022. This means there may be an additional 5 miles added onto your vehicle mileage.
